To Whom it may concern,

My name is Dustin Pease and I am a retired professional baseball player of 7 years.  I played as high as full season AA as a left handed pitcher in the San Diego Padres Organization.  I retired in the spring of 2013.  I graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s University in 2007 and soon after is when I began my private baseball lesson business (Pease Baseball) which I do full time today.  Soon after graduating, Jeremiah and I began our journey on the pitchers mound and at the plate in regards to private instruction.

Jeremiah has been able to make significant adjustments within his game.  We initially started out doing many fundamental parts of the motion with his pitching and his swing.  Over the years we have moved onto more advanced and technical things which shows a sign of great maturity in a player.  One of the greatest things about Jeremiah is that he is always ready and willing to learn more about the game and about what he needs to improve on.  He always makes sure he knows exactly how a motion is supposed to feel or for me to elaborate more if something is misunderstood.   He is not the nod and do type of the player.  As he has matured over the years he has been displaying a genuine IQ for the game which is something extremely hard to acquire for some players.

Jeremiah is a hard working kid who shows a passion for the game of baseball, something I greatly value and appreciate.  I believe a love for the game takes “work” out of practice and getting better.  These are the types of players that will practice ENDLESSLY because it is fun for them, and because they love what they are doing.   The same cannot be said for all players.  Any team receiving Jeremiah would be infused with an exceptional baseball player and student of the game.  I wish him the best wherever he continues to play.  He has a bright future in my professional opinion.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing on behalf of a very talented young student/baseball athlete, Jeremiah Jenkins.  I have coached youth, travel, and high school baseball for over seventeen years.  In my many years of coaching I have been afforded the opportunities to coach various levels of talent, from the tee baller to minor leaguers, and Jeremiah Jenkins being one of the better players that I have coached.

Jeremiah, has always projected a hard work ethic for improvement of his baseball talents and baseball intellect. I have seen him develop into a true power hitter with a very live arm.  His glove work and foot work at first base on defense has always and remains very solid and reliable.  As a pitcher he has shown control and mound presences way senior of his age. Though Jeremiah base running speed wouldn’t be the fastest on the team, his abilities to read pitchers, catchers and player positioning has afforded him the abilities to be a sound base stealer.

In a time when player leadership is fleeing the game, Jeremiah has always stood tall and has held others, along with his own play, responsible for their play.  I leader by example, by working hard on his own and at practice, by encouraging others with his words or a head nod or fist bump. He has proven time and time again to be very coachable and always respectful.

As a seasoned coach, it is with great joy and confidence that I strongly recommend Jeremiah Jenkins, for your team, program.  He is a true quality player and more important outstanding young man of valor.

Respectfully,
